Most insurance software is built by software companies. MyBundlePro is built by an agent who's still writing policies — in the office, on a video call, at the kitchen table, on the phone — and that difference shows up in every workflow.
I got my insurance license in 2003 and started writing policies as a solo independent agent at a local Arkansas agency. Six years of appointments, referrals, and learning what actually works.
In January 2010, a publicly traded life insurance company hired me to launch and lead a brand new final expense division. I spent the next twelve years recruiting, training, and scaling that team — eventually working with more than 12,000 agents across the country. I learned what separates successful producers from struggling ones, what makes agencies grow, and what makes them stall.
In March 2022, I left to start my own agency in Conway, Arkansas — back to writing policies myself. Today my focus is Medicare, health, life, and long-term care for seniors and families. Most of my appointments now happen in the office with my screen mirrored to a TV the client can see. Some are still on the kitchen table. Some are on the phone. Some are at dinner seminars. Some are over video.
Twenty-three years has taught me two lessons that the rest of the industry is too quiet about:
The agents who thrive long-term aren't the ones who specialize in one product. They're the ones who solve their client's whole picture.
Cross-selling Medicare clients into Hospital Indemnity, Cancer/Heart/Stroke, Dental, Home Health, life, and final expense isn't nice-to-have — it's what separates a flat year from a great one. It's what builds a book of business that actually compounds. And it's what protects the client, not just the producer.
Most people are visual. If they SEE it, they understand it. If they understand it, they take action.
The most successful appointments I've ever run weren't the ones where I talked the most. They were the ones where the client could see what I was showing them — on a TV mirrored from my laptop, on a tablet I handed across the table, on a screen during a video call. When the comparison is visible side-by-side, the cross-sell stops feeling like a pitch and starts feeling like clarity.
But the existing software didn't make that easy. The CRMs were built by engineers who don't understand SOAs. The quoting tools were built for someone's first day on the job, not their thousandth appointment. The cross-sell workflows? They mostly didn't exist. And nothing was designed to be shown to the client in real time.
So at every appointment, I'd juggle paper forms and three different carrier portals while trying to read the room. I'd know I should be showing Hospital Indemnity right now — but the workflow for offering it was just clunky enough that I'd skip it. Every time I skipped it, I left commission on the table and left the client under-protected.
Eventually I got tired of it. I built the tool I wished existed. I tested it on my own clients. I refined it based on what actually worked when the screen was turned toward the client. I added the GoHighLevel sync because that's what 90% of my agent friends were already using. I built the compliance workflows around the SOA rules because I'd read every Final Rule myself.
Then I let other agents try it. They liked it. They started asking if they could keep using it. Eventually enough of them asked that we made it a real product.
That's MyBundlePro. It's the tool I use every week with my own clients — now available to other agents who want to make every appointment visual, interactive, and built around the client's whole picture.

Tommy Overton is the founder of MyBundlePro and the principal of Overton Insurance Solutions in Conway, Arkansas. He's been in the insurance business since 2003.
From 2003 to 2009, Tommy was a solo independent agent at a local Arkansas agency. In January 2010, a publicly traded life insurance company hired him to launch and grow a new final expense division — a role that grew over twelve years to include working with more than 12,000 agents nationally.
In March 2022, Tommy left to start his own agency, returning to direct client work. Today, Overton Insurance Solutions specializes in Medicare, health, life, and long-term care for seniors and families. He runs dinner seminars, takes referrals, and writes policies week in and week out — using MyBundlePro for every appointment.
Tommy lives in Conway with his wife Jennifer and their two daughters. When he's not at an appointment or in the code, he's usually on the family's pontoon boat.
Not built by a software company that interviewed agents. Not built by a former agent reminiscing about the old days. Built by someone who's still writing policies this week — using the tool he's asking you to use.
When the client sees the comparison side-by-side, the cross-sell stops feeling like a pitch and starts feeling like clarity. Every screen in MyBundlePro is designed to be seen by the client — on a TV, a tablet, a video call, or across the table.
Your client list belongs to you. Your pipeline belongs to you. Your book belongs to you. We never share, sell, or use your data for anything beyond making MyBundlePro work better for you. If you leave, you take everything with you.
The SOA rules, the CMS Final Rules, the carrier requirements — these aren't obstacles to design around. They're part of the workflow. We build with them in mind from day one because that's what working agents actually need.
The price you see is the price you pay. We don't hide critical features behind enterprise tiers. We don't charge per quote. We don't play the "contact sales for pricing" game on Solo or Agency plans. If we can't justify a fair price upfront, we shouldn't be charging it.
A working insurance agent in Year 10 knows things our engineers will never know. We treat the feedback we get from active agents like gold. Our roadmap is shaped by what real producers tell us they need — not by what looks impressive in a competitor's feature comparison.
MyBundlePro is built by Overton Insurance Solutions, an independent insurance agency in Conway, Arkansas, specializing in Medicare, health, life, and long-term care for seniors and families.
Why does that matter? Because it means MyBundlePro isn't a startup's experiment. It's the operating tool of a real agency, used by a real producer, with a real reputation on the line. The software has to work — for his clients, his team, and his book of business — before it ever gets shipped to yours.
